About SCYTA

The Sudanese-Canadian Youth Talent Association of Alberta is a charity committed to advancing education through structured programs that include sport-based life skills training and vocational education.

Our Vision

To strive to ensure youth talent and skills are developed, thus becoming the leaders of tomorrow. We envision an inclusive, diverse and well integrated Canadian society, in which all youth achieve positive identity, feel a sense of belonging, and readily participate in all aspects of life.

Our Mission

To engage youth across Canada improving their talent, skills, sharing knowledge, mentoring them and forging partnership in both public and private sector and to promote positive cultural values, intercultural interactions and wellbeing of youth members through education, community leadership and collaboration.

Our Objectives

Addressing youth unemployment by providing job skills training and employment assistance to youth who are shown to need assistance.

To address and prevent problems faced by youth by providing a life skills learning program combined with supervised drop-in sports activities directed toward resolving peer pressures and conflict resolution in areas of low socio-economic conditions.

To do all such things as are incidental or ancillary to the attainment of the above purposes.
