Educational Goals

The soccer program uses structured sporting activities to teach children and youth essential life skills. All sessions are delivered by qualified coaches and supported by educational assessments.

Session 1

  • Goal Setting
  • Fostering Discipline, Cooperation, Teamwork and Leadership
  • Identifying Player Roles/Positions
  • Basic Dribbling, Passing and Receiving Drills

Session 2

  • Discipline and Work Ethic
  • Resilience and Coping with Failure
  • Basic Goal Keeping
  • Enhanced Dribbling, Passing and Receiving Drills

Assessment on skills learned in Session 1 and life applications in the past week.

  • Emphasizing Respect and Sportsmanship
  • Time Management
  • Team Skirmish

Assessment on skills learned in Session 2 and life applications in the past week.

3 on 3 Mini Tournament

Four teams compete in a round-robin format. In every game, there will be individual awards for each team including Game MVP.

Game 4: Team 2 vs Team 4
Game 5: Team 3 vs Team 2
Game 6: Team 1 vs Team 4

Our Coach

Nhial Gaay

Coach for Ngundeng FC and Nile FC. Coach for amateur teams in Calgary and Edmonton. Former School Player Mizan University, Ethiopia.
